Vascat S.A. has recently developed a customized frameless asynchronous servomotor based on the MAC-Q 160 series for double turret rewinding drive system. The most remarkable characteristic of this motor concerns to its special hollow shaft, which allows the gearless direct driving of the coil and thereby the simplification of the system mechanical design. As a result of the close collaboration between VASCAT and customer’s technical department, important space savings has been achieved and maintenance requirements have been substantially decreased.
